replaced but not forgotten

I just ordered me a new laptop. It's the faster baby brother of what I just had stolen from me. I know a lot of people aren't Vaio fans, but the SZ Series is the best combo of light and fast that I could find, since I am SUCH the power-head when it comes to my computers. I prefer to buy more than I need and run it into the ground (over about 6 years). I also need it as light as possible, since the RA dictates that heavy = BAD.

I loved my Vaio so much, there was never a choice.

Oh, and did I mention it has XP!!!!!! Not Vista!!! YAYYYYYYYYY!

I know what you mean about wanting one fast..a couple of years ago..well nearly three now I reckon I bought a pentium D 820 that has all kinds of stuff..I am using about 6 percent it says..hell I don't know what all the 2.8GHz and 1024MB DDR2 and 250GB SATA HDD means but it is just a click to get what I want and I seldom have to wait for anything to download except the mu-nu blogs

I just don't understand what everyone has against Vista. I have not had any problems running it (especially after Service Pack 1) and I've not once had a driver issue (and I use - well DID use - proprietary dictation software).

Now, I guess the GUI of Vista may or may not slow down performance, but you can turn all that off -

Anyway. I'm glad you have a new baby and I am still hoping that a thousand camels dance the watusi in the thieves' shorts.

P.S. It should also be said that I'm SUCH a crow and I love pretty, shiny things (and useless, GUI-enhancing software.) There. I said it. Haha.
