I love rainy days with nothing to do
DH and I are just lazing in bed. Mostly staying out of the way of the laundry fairy (my mother) and enjoying the rainy gray weather (yay!!!).
Although it's supposed to rain on my parade on Monday..... Oh well.
Went to see Narnia last night courtesy of some movie passes Santa was supposed to leave in my stocking. It was excellent. However, I would think twice about taking younger kids to see it. Much more explicitly violent than I imagined it would be. Hell it's a Disney film. More thoughts on the film in the extended...
On today's agenda: Dressed-Up Family pics with the inlaws. Oh joy Oh bliss. Pray for me around 6:30 PM PST, ok?
Some quick thoughts on the movie:
1. Loved the CG animals. Turned to DH and went OOOOH! It's a real beaver!!!! Although the centaurs were taller than I expected.
2. Ok, let me get this straight: Cheetahs and Jaguars are good, but Tigers are evil?
3. Even if I hadn't known this was a WETA workshop film, I knew it last night... It's kind of jarring when you are watching Narnia and you keep expecting to see Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas jump out of the bushes. That, and the Cair Paravel mock-up was clearly based on/made up of parts from Minas Tirith.
4. Also, on a movie-making note: I too love the BBC version of LWW, but did you have to play it shot for shot in some scenes?
