The Deal is OFF

Supposedly the originators of the Tournament of Roses made a deal with the Almighty:  No parade or game on Sunday, and it has only rained 9 times in 116 years, the last time over 50 years ago.

Well, look at this forecast for Monday....

Then read what they're planning to do for the parade this year.

Excuse me while I rain dance some more.

And for the record, we won't see the performances.  We'll be over 4 miles away at Colorado and Craig.

Two or three years ago my idiot friends and I camped out on Orange Grove and it rained all night long. I guess it cleared up in time for the parade -- I don't remember though... I fell asleep as the parade was beginning.

Not to invoke your wrath, but I don't understand why your upset over their changes... or is it you just want to rain on their parade?

Sorry, no pun intended, but it was kinda funny, well to me at least.

You are something else some days. ;-)

A parade involves moving things. Bands, floats, etc. Not LeeAnn Rimes.

I'm going to be working that morning.... Our New Year's Day off is today and yesterday.

I'm not worried about it raining on the parade, or lack of parade. It may look and threaten, but I'm sure it'll be nice and sunny. Or at least dry.
